Dr. Corlette Luke-Cambridge celebrates the grand re-opening of her newly expanded Ideal Therapy office in Fayetteville. Ideal Therapy provides Physical, Occupational, Speech and Massage Therapy services for and pediatrics and adult clients. Services are provided to clients in the comfort of their homes as well as in an outpatient rehabilitation care clinic.

City approves Plan to connect community with sidewalks, paths, trails

City Council members voted unanimously Aug. 1 to approve the City of Fayetteville Master Path Plan, which helps identify projects that will facilitate and promote inter-connectivity between existing and proposed developments and encourages the use of alternate transportation. Community Development Director David Rast told council members the City’s next steps are to incorporate the components of the plan into the City’s ordinances, Capital Improvements Element and other documents, which will help the City pursue construction and funding through developer contributions, impact fees, grants, and other mechanisms.

Rast noted that the City’s path system would be designed to link with the Fayette County path system.

The Eden Project

Local Military veteran, Bren Briggs, is making a statement about what veterans need to be reintegrated back into their communities. A significant percentage of veterans return from military service with emotional and physical conditions such as Traumatic Brain Injury, Post Traumatic Stress and amputations.  Peer groups, couples counseling, mentoring, employment and education support, help with VA claims, conflict resolution and related assistance are much needed. Rotary Club of Fayetteville donates to Yellow Butterfly Fund

The Rotary Club of Fayetteville awarded a $5,000 donation to The Yellow Butterfly Fund, a nonprofit organization that has been providing emergency funds to Fayette Co., residents who are 60 years and older for over 10 years.
